Creative Arts
|
Why is it that museums are full of images of Christ? That the themes of early dance, drama, and music usually dealt with morality, heaven and hell, and biblical lessons? Because the human race has known for years that the arts teach. People learn through experiencing feelings. When was the last time you left a church service humming the sermon? It's time for the arts to return to the church.
We, at Central, seek to use the many talented people in our church body to support the biblical teaching creatively; by visually and emotionally impacting lives.

Drama
|
Our drama team is regularly involved in writing and producing projects for our weekend services and special productions. We aim to humorously or poignantly communicate the theme or support the teaching in a service.

Dance
|
"You turned my mourning into dancing. You removed my sackcloth and clothed me in joy." Psalm 30:11,
"Let them praise His name with dancing." Psalm 149:3
As David danced in joyful worship to God, we want to uplift dance as an art form useful in celebrating our God and bringing us thoughtfully into His presence.
"There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the sun....a time to mourn and a time to dance." Ecclesiastes 3:1 and 4b

Visual Arts
|
Visual Arts play a huge part in our world today. The artist will use paint, sculpture, and performance to emotionally impact the hearts of people.
During weekend services and corporate art projects we seek to use every talent to show our love for Christ.
There are so many creative ways to worship. Do you sing, dance, act, or even whistle well? If you have a talent, God gave it to you so you would use it to serve Him and bring Him glory.
Auditions are held as needed for these ministries and we are looking for you! Feel free to contact us.
