Special Events Team
Our Special Events Ministry is a group of support teams that make special events happen.
It takes many hands to put the Fall Kickoff or Celebrate the Seasons together.
Your help could be used in any of these areas: set up, clean up, decorating, food preparation, kitchen duties, ticket sales, shopping, phone calls, greeting, tablecloth laundering, serving as a table hostess, etc. In addition to these “hands-on” opportunities,
We also need people with ideas who can help with the planning of these events.
Because these events are infrequent, the commitment is short and flexible, but the camaraderie experienced while working with this team will last and last.
Please contact Kami Hendrie at 718-3717 for information.
Coffee Ministry
So much goes on behind the scenes of the Women's Connection Bible studies. We are looking for volunteers to be a part of the coffee team. This would involve coming a little early to Bible study, making coffee, and setting tables as needed.
For more information, call Jan Rhodes at 824-2156
Kitchen Ministry
There are opportunities available to help organize and restock kitchen supplies. This ministry only involves 1-2 hours per month.
For more information, please contact Linda Prather at 945-7902
Funeral Ministry
Caring For Others in a Time Of Need
The women of Central are sometimes called into action to assist a family who has suffered the loss of a loved one. We have six teams who prepare and serve meals at funerals held here at the church. Some team members bring food to the church, some set up and serve, others work as a clean-up crew. You can show Christ's love in a practical way and make a difference in the life of a family in the midst of their grief by joining the Funeral Ministry Team. We'd love to have you on board.
Contact Patty Shullanberger at 723-7853 for more information.
Prayer Team
“First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be
made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.” (2 Timothy 2:1-2)
When the Bible says supplication or petition, it means “to have an audience with the king”, “to have the good fortune to be admitted to an audience to the present a petition.” We want to have an audience with the King on behalf of others and the
work God has for us to do. We invite you to meet with us once a week for a brief time of prayer right after our Wednesday Bible study. A prayer list will be provided.
Contact Betsy Holifield, Prayer Coordinator, 947-3295 for more informaiton.
Technical Crew
This Crew provides the essential operations of the sound system, lighting and visuals during Bible Studies and other women's activities.
Contact Sherry Scott at 949-7061 for more information.
