MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

What is MOPS?
|
MOPS exists for every mom of young children, urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms, moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! All moms of children under school age (from birth through kindergarten) are welcome to be part of this supportive community.
Cost: Yearly registration fee of $20 (goes to National MOPS organization), plus $3 per meeting, first meeting is free (childcare is additional, see below).

Meetings
|
|
MOPS meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 9 am to 11:30 am. Our fall semester begins on September 18th.
MOPS is a place for all mothers with pre-school age children (pregnancy through Kindergarten). Through fun and fellowship moms build relationships, strengthen their mothering skills and can build a deeper, personal relationship with Jesus. It is an opportunity to grow as well as an opportunity to serve. There is also a place for more experienced moms to share their triumphs and trial and encourage other young families for His kingdom.
To accomodate the schedules of moms who also have school-age children, our MOPS group meets twice a month from September to May. Those interested can either email Cheryl at vtfamily@qnet.com or call her 722-9511.

Summer MOPS
|
|
Mothers of preschoolers don’t take a break during the summer and neither does MOPS. We continue to offer support, encouragement and fun as we meet twice a month throughout the summer.

Our Staff
|
|
While you enjoy our MOPS meetings, rest assured, a loving, well-trained staff cares for your children. We have a dedicated childcare coordinator who has a lifetime of childcare experience and extensive course work in early childhood education. Our coordinator is also certified in first-aid and CPR for infants, children, and adults. All of our childcare staff are members of Central Christian Church and have undergone an extensive background check.

Our Curriculum
|
|
Children are assigned to one of three classes (nursery, 2-year-olds, or 3 and 4-year-olds combined). Children in the two older classes are taught using age-appropriate, Bible-based curriculum. They enjoy some playtime, songs, crafts, snacks, a video, and games.

Security
|
|
Safety is a top priority. Any time you leave your child in a classroom, you and your child will receive matching tags which will be checked each time you want to check on your child and at the conclusion of our MOPS meeting when you come to retrieve your child. For added protection, all of our childcare workers are fingerprinted and undergo background checks.
|
|
Childcare Cost
|
|
Cost is $3 per child per day, ($7 maximum per family)
|
