We have formed a group for people who have a heart to serve our Veterans, and those who are residents of our new local California Veteran’s Home in particular.
There are four ways for us to be involved:
1. Helping with building and facility maintenance/upkeep.
2. Encouraging the veterans who are physically able to
volunteer with us for outreach projects, or helping with office work, etc.
3. Work directly with the veterans (i.e., adopt a vet, adopt a room, gardening, game night, Bible study, news, current events, BBQs, Jethawks, walking, movies, sports nights, etc.)
4. Donate: books (in good condition), books on tape, CDs, DVDs, money, etc.
