What can I do? Join God in what He is doing around the world! Missions focus beyond those who go. Those who serve as senders are equally significant in growing God’s kingdom. As a sender, you play a vital role in our missionaries psychological and physical well being.
As Central Christian Church supports missionaries in many countries, you can have an impact on the “un-reached” around the world. By choosing and supporting a missionary, you not only get to know your missionary, you allow God to work through you to reach the lost. Missionary care is :
Prayer support
- Praying for safety in their travel and ministry.
- Praying for wisdom in determining family and ministry priorities.
- Praying for their health and the health of their families.
- Praying that they can effectively live and communicate the Gospel.
- Praying that they will maintain a vital walk with the Lord.
- Praying for fruit from their labors.
- Praying for their special requests in their letters.

Communication Support
- Get in touch through cards, letters, e-mail, and phone calls.
- Remember them on birthdays, anniversaries and holidays.
- Send a picture of yourself, your family or your group.
- Ask questions about their ministry, their needs, concerns, etc.
- Keep yourself informed on the country and community in which your missionary serves.
- Keep abreast of current events that could impact your missionary.
- If possible, go visit them (We have some missionaries who are only a short drive away.)

Financial Support
- Pray that their financial needs will be met.
- Have a garage sale, car wash, etc., to raise funds for a special gift for your missionary.
|
|
|
|
Re-entry Support
- Ask about their furlough schedule.
- Plan ways to welcome them and include them with your group.
- Meet them at the airport.
- Help them arrange for a place to stay and for transportation.
- Take them for a day of pampering.
- Ask if they have any special needs while visiting, i.e. car seats, strollers, etc.
- Invite them to your group or to dinner.
- Find a need and meet it if you can.
